Jealous Rescue Worker Rams Ex-girlfriend’s Motorcycle, Killing Her And New Partner

BANGKOK, Thailand – A former rescue worker deliberately rammed his pickup truck into a motorcycle carrying his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend, killing both in a violent collision on Bangkok-Nonthaburi Road, in an act of jealousy that has shocked the community. The suspect, who sustained serious injuries in the incident, is now under police guard while receiving medical treatment.

The incident occurred near the U-turn in front of the Military Logistics Department in Bang Sue District, where the black motorcycle was found completely wrecked, lying on its side. The bodies of Ms Narissa, 24, and Mr Jetapol, 45, were discovered at the scene, with the woman’s torso severed and limbs broken, while the man was critically injured and later died. The perpetrator, Mr Songpol, 28, a former rescue worker, was driving a foundation pickup truck and also sustained serious injuries.

According to witnesses, the suspect had been seen driving in and out of the alley near Wat Liap Rat Bamrung several times before the incident, arousing suspicion. He then waited for the woman and her new boyfriend before accelerating and violently crashing into their motorcycle, resulting in their deaths. During the investigation, officers found a bag of methamphetamine and a bag of crystal meth hidden under the seat of the victim’s motorcycle, which were seized as evidence.

Relatives of the deceased were overcome with grief upon discovering the bodies, weeping and embracing each other. They stated that Ms Narissa had been in a relationship with the suspect for about a year, during which she was frequently physically abused. She had previously filed police reports, but he only threatened her, and they decided to end their relationship two months before the incident.

Investigators have questioned four witnesses to gather evidence for an arrest warrant for the suspect on charges of intentional homicide, which is expected to be issued within one to two days. The suspect is currently under medical care, suffering from a ruptured liver, and remains under police guard.

Police have also revealed that both vehicles have been moved and impounded as evidence. The motive for the killing is believed to be jealousy, with the suspect unable to accept the end of the relationship and the new relationship formed by his ex-girlfriend.

The case has highlighted the dangers of domestic violence and the inability of some individuals to accept rejection. The victims’ families have called for justice, while authorities are committed to ensuring the suspect faces the full weight of the law once he is fit to be questioned.
